Enrolment to the bar is the term commonly used in Bangladesh to indicate that a person is licensed to practice law as an advocate. In order to obtain a license to practice law, all law graduates must sit for Advocateship Enrolment Test conducted by the Bangladesh Bar Council.
You would be delighted to know that Crown Law Academy offers a preparation course twice yearly for those intending to sit for Advocateship Enrolment Test.
This course is specially designed to help students who have a long cherished dream to be an advocate. The purpose of this course is to prepare students so as to successfully qualify for the enrolment examination held by the Bangladesh Bar Council.
Overview of the Program
The course is held in November/December and May/June. Classes are limited to approximately 25 students to facilitate interactive sessions.
Two practicing barristers take students through past exams and highlight salient issues in the Bar Council's exam reading list. Students are provided with handouts and are encouraged to bring their questions to the sessions.
Please note that the course is 3 (Three) months for Preliminary Exam (MCQ), 1 (one) month for Written Exam and 1 (One) month for Viva Voce.
Qualification Requirements
A citizen of Bangladesh who has obtained a law degree from any recognized University situated in Bangladesh or in abroad or was called to the Bar is entitled to be enrolled as Advocate provide that he / she has to qualify in the enrolment examination held under the direction and supervision of the Enrollment Committee of the Bangladesh Bar Council.
